Skinners are a Czech brand from Brno, best known for their sock shoes, a light, packable cross between a sock and a shoe that they make in their own facility in Třebíč. They also make leather and canvas barefoot shoes and ankle boots for women and men with a wide toe box, plus a kids range and socks. I'd say the sock shoes suit travel, camp and light walking best.

How Skinners fits

standard width, low volume

The lifestyle shoes run true to size with a snug heel, so they suit narrower heels and lower volume feet, and the insoles come out if you need room. The sock shoes stretch, and Skinners say to go smaller if you're between sizes, but one reviewer found the toe box tight.
