Josef Seibel

Barefoot brand from Germany.

Josef Seibel is a long-established German shoe maker, founded in 1886 and based in Hauenstein, and I've listed it for its barefoot range for women and men. The women's styles are mostly called Wynona and the men's Wallace, and they include low shoes and ankle boots, mainly in leather, with thin flexible soles and wide toe boxes. These sit inside a much bigger everyday collection, so only the pieces marked barefoot on its site are built this way, and many have a removable footbed.

How Josef Seibel fits

sloped toe box, standard width, high volume

I'd call these a gentle first step: G width with a roomy, foot-shaped toe box and plenty of height over the foot. Very square feet may want more room at the front, and the spare laces in the box help if your foot is low volume.
