Hickies is a Brooklyn based company that makes elastic no-tie lacing systems, a pack of small rubbery straps that replace normal laces and turn trainers into slip-ons. There's a one-size adult pack and a smaller Kids version for roughly ages 4 to 8, and you can change the tension by how you thread them. They're a lace accessory rather than shoes, so I'd see them as a handy extra for the shoes you already own.
