Goral is a family-run maker in Sheffield, England, making handmade leather sneakers and boots, mostly aimed at men, with resoleable Blake stitch construction. Most of the range is regular footwear, but I like that there is a separate barefoot collection of low top, high top and boot styles with a wide toe box and flexible soles. They also sell socks, laces, insoles and shoe care.

How Goral fits

Goral's everyday last has a rounded almond toe, and the barefoot styles are described as wide toed. Go for your usual size, or up if you're between sizes, but the unlined SMUGS suggests half a size down. If you have a high instep or wide feet, try the EE.
