Filii is a family-run brand from Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, which began in 2008 with barefoot shoes for children and now also makes styles for women and men, in sizes 18 to 46. I like that they offer narrow, medium and wide fits, and that their production is in the EU, with some vegan models in the range.

How Filii fits

Filii makes each shoe in narrow, medium and wide, so choose the width first and check it against the brand's size chart. Parents of kids with a high instep say the shoes only partly suit them, so if you have a high instep, try the wide width or order from a shop with easy returns.
