Faroush is a Paris-based brand making barefoot trainers and lined winter boots for children. I like that the shoes have a wide toe box, a thin flat zero drop sole, and vegan leather and textile uppers. The styling is simple and everyday, so they suit school days and play.

Faroush only makes children's shoes, so there's no adult range to compare. Their own guide says to add 0.8 to 1.2 cm to your child's foot length. One parent found the velcro straps a bit short, so check that before ordering.
